And you thought body image was bad in America…

Well folks, we know what we’re up against, don’t we? Check out this plastic surgery hungry icon.

She’s going for the Guinness book of World Records…for number of plastic surgeries on one person.  She’s already had 42.  The record is not too far off at 47.  And she’s got a secret weapon– her husband is a plastic surgeon.  How convenient!

Demand for cosmetic plastic surgery continues to increase. Girls are getting boob jobs for graduation!  Wonder where they get their inspiration?

According to the National Clearinghouse of Plastic Surgery Statistics, Americans spent a whopping $11.5 billion for 11 million cosmetic procedures in 2006–a 48% increase over the number performed in 2000.

Where will we be in another 6 years?

Welcome to Dr. Robyn Silverman’s “Kiss My Assets” Body Image Blog!

Thank you for all visiting! I’m so glad you’re here. We all want our children, teens, and young women to be healthy. We want them to feel good. We want them to feel valued and beautiful. Do they all need to be a size 2 to be healthy? I don’t think so.
